The Battle for moscow took place on October 2nd 1941. The German code name for this battle it “Operation Typhoon” In this battle Russia’s capital was captured by Hitler. This plan was known as “Operation Barbarossa” Hitler believed that once the capital went down the whole nation would collapse soon after. The battle was a huge success for the Germans and tragic for the Russians. -

The Battle Of Gazala started after there had been a short pause in North Africa in 1942. The battle reached a high point when the Allies lost Tobruk. Winston Churchill called this defeat a “disgrace” The loss of Tobruk seemed to characterize different plans shown in North Africa. -

The Battle of Stalingrad was the turning point for Europe in World War 2, it was also an important target because it was Russias center of communications in the south and manufacturing. General Paulus task for this Battle was to guard the oil fields in the Caucasus, so Hitler ordered Paulus to take out Stalingrad.
