The Battle of Britain was a part of the Western Front of WWII. There was the United Kingdom, Germany, Canada, and Italy who all participated. It was also taken place at the British Airspace. The reason behind this battle was for the German forces to compel Britain to agree to a negotiated peace. -
Operation Barbarossa
This operation was a code name for the Axis’s invasion on the Soviet Union. Germany, Red Army, and the Soviet Union were all there. And, it was taken place in Soviet Union. -
Operation Torch
This operation was an Allied invasion of the French North Africa. The countries in combat were, United States, United Kingdom, Nazi Germany, Vichy France, and Italy. It was taken place in a couple different areas like, Algeria, and Morocco. This operation happened because they wanted to relieve pressure on the Soviet Union. -
Operation Overload
This operation was also a code name, but this time for a battle of Normandy. It was the Allied operation that launched the successful invasion on Germany. While there was a WWII! This was taken place in Normandy, France. They had this battle because it was the turning point of WWII. They needed this battle. And, the Allied’s won. -
Yalta Conference
This conference was hosted by the Soviet Union in Yalta, for some of the main leaders. Like, Joseph Stalin, Winston Churchill, and Franklin D. Roosevelt. The purpose of this conference was to discuss the postwar reorganization.
