Beginning Battle
The bombing of Midway begins at 4:30 a.m. with air craft from Nagumo''s First Carrier Strike Force. Americans took a heavy loss but shot down a couple key planes. -
U.S. Strikes Back
At 7 in the morning, USS Enterprise and USS Hornet launch dive bombers and torpedo planes while enemies go back to posts to stock back up. -
Planes go down
The American aircraft's had problems locating their targets and were shot down by enemy ships, the American assault ended around 10:00 a.m. -
Follow-Up Strike
The 2nd wave of dive bombers located Japanese carriers with enemy planes stocked up. Japanese carriers Kaga, Soryu, and Akagi are struck and sunk around 10:40 in the morning. -
Japanese Fight Through
Japanese Navy bomber aircraft strike against the attacking USS Yorktown, Yorktown was severely damaged but not sunk and the crew left the ship. -
Japanese stock up for next attack
Japanese planes reported back to friendly ships to stock up for next attack. -
Hiryu is down and Yorktown is saved
The Japanese carrier Hiryu is scuttled and USS Yorktown was to in to be worked on. -
Japanese attack again
A Japanese submarine came to sink USS Hammann and USS Yorktown while being fixed, they were successful. -
Yorktown down
After the attacks on Yortktown, it has finally scuttled in the early morning of June 7th.
