  • Bloody Friday Bombings

    The Provo IRA orchestrated a series of coordinated bombings across the city. Within span of eighty minutes they denoated 22 bombs, resulting in signifcant casualties and injuries. The attacks aimed at both commercial and public areas, causing widespread damage.
  • Guilford pub bombings

    The IRA was responsible for detonating bombs in two pubs: the horse, groom, and the seven stars. Five people were killed and many injured. Four people were wrongfully arrested. These attacks had an impact on the public view around counterterrorism and civil liberties.

    The Provo IRA bombed two pubs in the city center, resulting in 21 deaths and many injures. They intentionally didnt send a warning because they wanted many casualties. The hope of inflicting many casualties was supposed to help shape the public opinon on the Irish occupation and help make political discourse.
  • Captain Robert Nairac

    He was a British Army officer who was abducted by the Provo Ira on May 14th 1977, in South Armagh, Northern Ireland. Nairac was involved in undercover intelligence work and was take while on a covert operation. Tradgically, he was subsequently murdered by the IRA. The exact details of his fate remain unclear and his body never found.

    When the Provo IRA ambushed a British Army convoy in Warrenpoint Northern Ireland. The attack resulted in the deaths of 18 British soldiers.
  • Assassination Lord Mountbatten

    Lord Mountbatten a British statesman and naval officer was assassinated by the Irish Republican Army IRA on August 27th, 1979. A bomb exploded on his boat off, the coast of Country Sligo, Ireland, killing him, his grandson, and two others. The attack was part of a series of bombings carried out by the IRA during that time.
