Fraassen received many awards throughout his career such as: Guggenheim Fellowship award in 1971, the Distinguished Achievement in the Humanities in 1995, Hempel Lifetime achievement Award in 2012 (Singh 2012) and was also elected to join the fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 1997(Princeton University). -

Fraassen wrote many books on his philosophy; a handful of those books would be: “The Scientific Image” ,written in 1980 which is the initial writing about his philosophy, “Quantum mechanics, written in 1991 which is about other scientific theories but looked upon on the viewpoint of his philosophy, and lastly “The Empirical Stance”, written in 2002 which is a fresh take on his philosophy with the questions in mind such as what empiricism could be. -
