On April 5, 1941 Fraassen was born. He is a Dutch- American Philosopher who today is just 77 years old. Born in the German-occupied Netherlands where his father, a steam fitter, was forced by the Nazis to work in a factory in Hamburg. After the war, the family reunited and emigrated to Edmonton, in western Canada. -

Fraassen is just 77 years old and is currently a professor. He has aught at Yale University, the University of Southern California, the University of Toronto and, from 1982 to 2008, at Princeton University, where he is now teaches. -
