First Public Opera Theater
Opened in Venice in 1637, which quickly became a hub for all baroque era music. The 1940's saw the rise of arias, solos within operas. Operas were essentially plays with music, so arias were thrown in-between exposition. The French looked down upon Opera, and leaned towards ballets more. -
