The stars of ballets as a result of Balanchine's idea were 12-13 year olds Tamara Toumanova, Tania Riabouchinska, and Irina Boranova. They each possessed different dancing styles. -

Ballet Russe de Monte-Carlo had its very first performance, after which Blum and Basil secretly pushed out Balanchine and replaced him with Leonide Massine. -

The Break Ups
Blum and Basil were not getting along so Blum resigned from the company and later Basil's ego became too much for Massine and he left the company also. -
The War
Massine and Basil fought over everything connected to the Ballet Russe de Monte-Carlo, including the company name, choreography, and dancers. Massine won rights to the company name, so Basil renamed his company The Original Ballet Russe. -
Debut
Both companies were ready to make their debuts in London by 1938 despite Massine having to create 3 new ballets after losing rights to his choreography.
