J.K Rowlind stands for Joannne Kathleen. She was born in England, 23 months older then her younger sibling by the name of Di which is short for Dianne, and is a mother of three; 2 boys and 1 girl. She attended the University of Exeter on the South coast of England. She lost her mother due to multiple sclerosis, which inspired her to continue to write. Finally, she's the author of the thrill seeking trilogy "Harry Potter." -

Inspiration
In 1990, Rowlings mother succombed of her illness of multiple sclerosis. She put her real feelings she felt about the death of her mother, and put them in words as Harry's feelings about his parents in the book. -

In the Prisoner of Azkaban, Harry meets a long time loyal friend of his parents "Sirius Black." The genre of this book is fantasy because Sirius Black can transform into a viscious looking black dog. Only in one's fantasy can they transform into a dog. With the help of a magical map that tells the whereaabouts of everyone in the corridor and a magical invisibility clock, Harry and friends hunt around for clues. The book is targeted for middle aged junior high. -
