    First Australians
    The Africans were the earliest humans and around 70000 years ago they started there vast journey to Australia. They traveled most of their journey on foot but during the last stretch of their journey they were forced to resort to using a boat as it was the only way to travel to Australia.

    Aboriginal trading

    It is unknown when Aboriginals started trading but they used to trade things they had and farmed with things that they couldn't get or make themselves.

    Cave shelter

    Cave shelter
    The Gabarnmung cave shelter was an old abode for the Aboriginal people. They hollowed out the large rock so that they could paint and live in the newly formed cave.

    Mungo Man

    Mungo Man was an early human inhabitant of Australia and was the earliest known human outside of Africa. When Mungo Man's remains were analysed by the Australian National University they found that using Mungo Mans limb bone they could Mungo Mans height to be around 196 centimeters tall. Researchers also believe that Mungo Man was an important part of his society because his teeth were tampered with and many believe that it was of an important ceremony.

    Rock Art
    The Aboriginals had many types of art. One of the most prominent and well known is rock art. Some rock paintings show extinct animals such as a large flightless bird. A more recent rock art showed a Tasmanian tiger which became extinct in 1936.

    Aboriginal tools

    The Aboriginals also created multiple rock tools. These were sharpened on another rock and used to grind grains or to kill animals for food.

    Captain was the first British to come to Australia. He came because he thought there was an empty land.

    First Fleet
    The First Fleet arrived on the shores of Australia on 1788. They brought with them multiple large ships which contained hundreds of hundreds of convicts. These convicts were brought to Australia because they had no more space in Britain because America had won their freedom.

    The stolen generation is a major event throughout Australian history. The Australian government forced aboriginal children who have mixed parents to go to missionaries and learn the British ways.
