Greek immigration because of world war one.
Greece’s economy was shattered by World War 1 (1914-1918). After the war, many refugees came into Australia.

Between 1925 and 1929 only 100 Greeks were allowed to immigrate each month.

A major component in the resumption of immigration was the ‘Empire settlement Scheme’ whereby Britain and its immigrant receiving dominions were to share equally in the cost of promoting migration from Britain.
