Australia let in migrants from all over the world to re-populate after their great loss in world war two. One in every three non-Australian migrants would be from England as Australia had a preference for English migrants. Australia’s populate or perish idea worked very well, from after the war when their population was around 7 million, whereas in 2016 after the census it was 24.13 million.
