Contribution to the philosophy of science: The early writings of Auguste Comte
The early writings of Auguste Comte, is where he began contributing to philosophy of science. This was set during the time he was working as a secretary for Henri de Saint-Simon, a business man and French social theorist. The early writings contain many of his essays he wrote early on in his career. These essays include, “Separation between opinions and desires,” “ Philosophical considerations on the Sciences and and Scientists” and, “Considerations on the Spiritual Power.” -

Contribution to the philosophy of science: the Course on Positive Philosophy volume 1
“The Course on Positive Philosophy” Contained 6 volumes, but was later condensed into 3 volumes by Harriet Martineau. In this book he talks about positivism and positive philosophy. He explains this with the use of mathematics including, geometry and calculus. He also goes on to explore astronomy, physics, and chemistry. -

Auguste Comte is most well known for his work in positivism. Positivism isn't exactly what I expected when I dove into understanding it. Its not about Positive or negative, its more so about being neutral. It is also being positive, or certain. He also believed that you should gain knowledge by using the scientific method. -
