Edison Releases the Public Radio
Thomas Edison found interest in the phonautograph and wanted to improve it by actually emitting sound theat is spoken into it. The sound emitted into this device would simultaniously be loading into a disc. This was a start for a big musical industry. -
Factorial Production and First Disk
After technology advanced some the disk player caught the eye of many people. It seemed like such a luxury. So the very first disk was created and sold to the common people. This let people hear the music they liked from the comfort of their own home. -
The First Radio Station
After radio waves were discovered, Davis Westinghouse urged his university to set up a radio tower and a recording studio so he can start his very own commercial radio station.This station was called KDKA. This could become tidious because not that many people owned a radio at the time. -
The Revolution of Radio
By the 1940's radios became BIG. Over 3M radios where sold to the public, and many radio stations where being formed. Colombia also made a new typ of disk which goes at the speed of 33-1/3 RPM -
FM Radio
Prior to this point in time the radio was very fuzzy and sometimes hard to hear. This was because radios used AM waves which travel slowly and are easily stopped. Well now a new radio wave was mad called FM. This was far supirior to AM waves and are still used to this day. At this point in time radios started to even be put in cars. -
Radio's in the 60's
By the 1960's radios where everywhere, cars, homes, and many buildings. The vinyl player which was the custom was now replaced by the 8-track which is a much better quality.
