Dalton Solid Sphere Model
Dalton's Theory was that all elements are made up of atoms that cant be divided or destroyed, all atoms of the same element are alike, atoms of different elements are different, -
Thomson: The Plum Pudding Model
Thomson's theory was that the atom is made up of electrons surrounded by a soup of positive charge to balance the electrons' negative charges, like plums surrounded by pudding. -
Rutherford: The Nuclear Model
Rutherford's theory was that the atom is a tiny, dense, positively charged core called a nucleus, that electrons move around at a distance much like planets revolving around the Sun. -
Bohr: The Bohr (Planetary) Model
Bohr's theory was that electrons assume only certain orbits around the nucleus, each orbit has an energy associated with it, and light is released when an electron jumps from a higher orbit to a lower orbit and absorbed when it jumps from a lower to higher orbit. -
Schrodinger: Quantum Mechanics Model
Schrodinger's theory is the same as Bohr's except it predicts the odds of the location of the electron. -
