John Dalton
John Dalton was the first man to propose the theory that all the elements are made of atoms. He said that all atoms of the same element are identical and ones of different elements havve diffrent atomes -
Dmitri Mendeleev
Dmitri Mendeleev was the first man to organize The Periodic Table by atomic mass of the elements. He was also the first man to figure out the atomic weight of the atoms. -

Eugene Goldstein
Eugene was the person who discovered proton atoms by using electricely- charged particles in a tube with two anodes. He discovered the relationship between positive and negative protons. -
J.J. Thomson
J.J. Thomson did similar experiments to Eugene Goldstein sending positively- charged electrons through a tube but his results were incorrect. He discovered the electron which he called a corpuscule. -
R.A. Milikan
R.A. Milikan made an experiment to find out the mass and electrons in an atom. He put oil droplets into a chamber and did many things to test them. His end findings were that they had one electron inside of them. -
Ernest Rutherford
Ernest Rutherford was the man who figured out that most of the atoms were filled with empty space. From his gold foil experiment he came up with these conclusions about atoms. -
Neils Bohr
Neils Bohr was responsible for the discovery of the nucleus in the atom. He was the one who came up with the theory that electrons were tied up to the neucleus through an electical field. -
Henry Moseley
Henry Moseley made a more accurate presentation of The Periodic Table by sorting them by solids, liquids, gases and atomic mass. He did this because of his interest in the first Periodic Table. -
Louis de Broglie
Louis de Broglie came up with an equation that shows that particles of matter sometimes behave as waves and waves behave like particles of matter. The idea was based on Einstein's photo- electric effect, where light behaved like particles. -
Erwin Schrodinger
Erwin Schrodinger was the man who discovered the wave length of protons around the atom. He found four different orbits around the atom which he made an equation for. -
James Chadwick
James Chadwick was the man who discovered neutrons instead of atoms. The neutrons were not electrically charged which made up the empty space in the neucleus.
