B.C., Democritus of Abdera
Democritus came up with the idea of the atom. This idea comes from a Greek scholar. He mostly know for this atomic theory. He also a very excellent geometer. He told everyone how the atoms particles, that are so small, could not be broken down. People would think he was going nuts with him talkeing about them. -
Dalton
John Dalton is a scientist here in cambridge england. He callled his model the "Billiard Ball Model". Dalton looked at the veiw of atomism by way of meteorology.he develeped the modern model of the atomic theory. -
Modern Atomic Theory
Introduced the concept in explaning atoms. Bohr's model ultimately needed revision. Even if it was good it failed to explan really what the atom is. Thats when they made the Modern Atomic Theory. Made life diffenrt. -
Rutherford
Rutherford started in New Zealand. He researched in that state for a long time. Magnetic properties of iron brings high-frequency. Arrival at Cambridge they saw his talant got him in to school. this was soon made to be called Rutherford atomic model. -
Thomson
Thomson took Crookes tube and expermineted with it. he was trying to direct a beam of lifght going one way. His results were astounding. He took a magnet to bend the rays. They were bent towards the postive side of the magnet. These helped him find the negative charged called as we known as electrons. this was called the plum pudding meathed -
Bohr
Model is probably familar as the "planetary model" of the atom. Neutrons and protons makeing the Bohr Model is a form of energy. Shows the atom as a small, positively charged nucleus surrounded by electrons. Telling us about the atoms.
