Aristotle
Aristotle basically just said that elements exist, and paved the road for the atomic theory -

Democritus
Democritus was the forefather of the atomic theory. He theorized that small, unbreakable particles, called atoms, made up everything. -
John Dalton
-Elements made up of atoms
-Atoms impossible to make, split, or destroy
-Atoms in the same element identical (The picture was his rendition of atoms and molecules) -
JJ Thomson
-Discovered electrons
-Found out about isotopes -
Niels Bohr
Niels Bohr is credited with creating the Bohr model, which showed how electrons sorround the nucleus, circling around it in orbitals. This model shows the most accurate location of electrons in an atom. -
Ernest Rutherford
He discovered the proton, during the years of 1917-1919, and named it in 1920. He also theorized the existince of the neutron. The picture is of the hydrogen isotope he tested. -
James Chadwick
He proved the existince of the neutron, which Ernest Rutherford had previously theorized. The picture is of an atom showing the neutron and other parts. -
Electron Cloud Model
The electron cloud model is just an advanced version of the Bohr model, made by Erwin Schrödinger and Werner Heisenberg. It says electrons are more likely in a part of the atom. -
Erwin Shrodinger
Erwin Shrodinger created the electron cloud model with another scientist,Werner Heisenberg. They further improved Niels Bohr's research.
