He was told by King François of France to find a passage to the Orient, either around or through the New World. However he ended up sailing up the St.Lawrence. -
Samuel Champlain founded Quebec City
Samuel founded the first New World Colony. He thought that Canada would be an amazing place to colonize. Creating sparks for the New World. -
