The French Revolution was a time where France was wanting to not be a monarchy, which ended with an establishment of France as a republic. During this time, 400,000 people (not guilty and guilty) had died because of the bloodshed occurring. -
Start of Guillotine
The guillotine was an official method of execution. The guillotine was made because the rulers wanted to punish the people that needed to be punished. The creator was Joseph-Ignace Guillotin. The people involved were the French and the rulers. The guillotine was significant to the French Revolution because it was used to behead people without any pain as a punishment for what they did, but a lot of the pleasure went towards the rulers. -
Queen Marie's Death
Queen Marie was executed. This happened because Queen Marie was convicted by the Revolutionary Tribunal of high treason so she ended up dying from the guillotine. The people involved were the queen herself and the church. This was significant because she was a queen and no one thought that someone with such a high class would get the punishment of decapitation. -

The Reign of Terror was an assortment of changes during the French Revolution that were like very strict laws. This happened because the rulers thought there needed to be changed ; such as taking Sunday out of the calendar and killing people that were not excited enough when someone was being killed. This event involved the French people that fought for what they wanted. This was significant because this event caused most deaths during the revolution. -
The rise of Napoleon
This event was the rise of Napoleon to power. This happened because the people saw him as a successful general. The people that were involved were all the citizens, because of them, he was put in consul fro life. This was significant to the french revolution because the citizens got to pick who they wanted to be the ruler, and after Napoleon won, they got some of the things they asked for ; such as equality, fair taxes, and the peasants were aloud to own land. -
The fall of Napoleon
This event was the fall of napoleon. This happened because after naming it the first consul, Napoleon at the helm, the revolutions ended after a fifteen-year period of military rule. He stopped ruling because he repetitively lost battles and the people did not think he was fit to be their general. The people involved were Napoleon and the French army. This is significant because the army was very successful but fell very quickly and Napoleon was the one to blame.
