Arthur Miller was born with two siblings: Kermit Miller and Joan Miller. His parents were Jewish immigrants. Growing up Arthur Miller's father had financial problems due to the great depression. This allowed his father to show him the insecurity of modern society. His mother was an educator and enjoyed reading novels. He was able to get a job in a warehouse where he was able to get enough money to attend Michigan University. -
