    Walls are first built around civilizations around this time, symbolizing unity and protection. Of course, the fact that people were settling down into civilizations means that they were staying in one place permanently for the first time. Once people stopped moving around, art was more valued. This marks a starting point in some true art.

    It is a ring of standing stones. It is one of the Seven Wonders of the Medieval World. Burial mounds surround it. It took 30 million hours of labor to build.
