    The first telephone switchboard in Anaheim was demonstrated by Maude Mickle Backs and three unnamed men. This picture it is showing a telephone switchboard on the wall at "The Home Telephone & Telegraph Company." Calls were routed through the telephone switchboard to other callers. As a result, they gained popularity and many businesses began utilizing them. The photo was issued in 1907 when switchboards were typical use, it also was taken in California.
