Libyan Dictator Killed
Colonel Muammar Gaddafi, who is the Dictator of Libya, is captured by rebels who torture him and then kill him. -
Saleh Signing
Saleh signs an agreement that hands off power to the Vice President. He then steps down altogether in February of 2012 and is killed in 2017. -
Democratic Elections
Egypt holds the first democratic elections for parliament. In June 2012, Morsi is elected president but is removed from power by coup in July 2013.
