After Anwar al-Sadat, the previous president of Egypt, has been assassinated by Jihad members. Therefore Hosni Mubarak, the vice-president at that time, takes the place and becomes a president of Egypt. Later in Egypt, Mubarak happen to be a main person that caused the revolution.

Started from Tunisia and spread very quickly through North Africa and Middle East. Basically, it is uprising against the government and it is called Arab Spring because everything started to change, like in the weather spring. The Arab Spring in countries around Egypt inspired people in Egypt.

More than 20,000 protesters gathered in Cairo for the first time. The official Middle East News Agency reported three dead and 49 woulded in violence between protesters and police in Cairo. This event is significant because it was the first official gathering in Egypt and other protests followed this one through out the revolution.

President Hosni Mubarak steps down, handing power to the Egyptian military. Demonstrators celebrated in streets. This was the end of the original goal, Hosni Mubarak, of the revolution in Egypt, However, it leads Egypt to another revolution againt Morsi in the future.

Muslim Brotherhood candidate Mohammed Morsi is elected as a new president by the first Democratic election in Egypt. It seems like the revolution and the violence would end after his election but this events eventually becomes a turning point of the revolution and makes it worse.

Egypt's Military anounces that Morsi has been removed from office and the constitution is suspended. Demonstrators celebrate in Cairo. In my opinion, this was the end of the Arab Spring in Egypt even though there were conflicts between Mualim and Christians after this. The religious conclict was caused by the Arab spring revolution but it is a different part of event in Egypt
