    Isreal declared it's independence. Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria,and Iraq attacked Isreal. This resulted in Isreal gaining land.     The Israeli government began to build settlements. In 1967 there were were approximately 3,200 West Bank settlers and by now there are now roughly 300,000 West Bank settlers.
