    Israel declared independence, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria and Iraq attacked Israel. Israel had gained land throughout the process of the war. Egypt gained the Gaza Strip and Jordan gained the West Bank and East Jeruselem. Hundreds of thousands of Palestiniens and Jews became refugees.

    1967-1970. After the war Israel gained land from Egypt, Japan and Syria. Israel was willing to give up their territories for peace and recognition. Egypt started to attack Israel. Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, and Egypt had overthrown Jordans King Hussein. Jordan succeded in evicting the PLO and it became known as "Black December." The PLO then moved their operation base to Lebanon.

    Egypt ended up blockading Israel. Egypt, Jordan, Syria and Iraq moved troops to Israel's borders and they made threatening statements. In return Israel launched a strike. Israel eventually captured the West Bank and East Jerusalem from Jordan. Along with the Golden Heights from Syria, and the Sinai Peninsula from Egypt. More Palestinians and jews became refugees. The threat of terrorism became more common.

    The Israel government had approved settlements. The Arab forces tried to destroy their settlements during the war. Settlements buildings were scarce but slowly the settlement buildings started to increase. The Israel government started off with 3,200 west bank tellers and they left off with 300,000 west bank tellers in the end.

    Egypt and Syria attacked Israel on Yom Kippur which is one of the most sacred holiday to the Jews. The Arab military was very successful with attacks on Israel. The United States tried to convince Israel to backout of territories that they wanted. Israel agreed that it would've been easy to over run their territory. That plan didn't end up working out and the Israelis gained back their land that was captured before.

    Eygpt was one of the first areas to be interested in Israel along with a peace treaty. The economy for Israel was very bad because of other wars that Israel had invested in. Israel went back to Egypt to start of their peace agreements which was their "Land of Peace" policy that would in return help Israel's economy too.

    The PLO in South Lebanon started increasing attacks in Northern Israel communities. In return Israel launched attacks. The was known as the first Lebanon War. Israel troops went to Beirut and expelled the PLO. This created a costly struggle. Israel backed away from Lebanon in June 1985. It was used for a military presence in South Lebanon that was used as a "buffer" zone, that helped prevent terrorism. Terrorism attacks from South Lebanon led to the second war of Lebanon.

    1987-1993, Palestinians in the Gaza strip and the West Banks started an uprising because they wanted control of Israel territories. This is when suicide attacks first started in Israel. The Palestines lost alot of military men during the attacks. The Palestines thought that the Israel response was way too harsh. The attcks and losses continued until the Oslo accords in 1993.

    A set of agreements that began after the first Intifada. It led to the reationof the Palestine authority. It was "keeping control od territiories." The Palestine authority gave Israel the right to defend itself. The PLO finally agreed to have a peace agreement with Israel.Israel finally accepted the PLO as a representitive of Palestines.The peace agreement said that Israel would have to give up land in return for more peace and safety. Both sides never followed the rules along with the agreement

    Israel and Jordan sign a Peace Treaty
    After the peace treaty between Israel and Eygpt, Jordan came to recognize Israel. Israel gained trade, buissness relations, tourism, cultural exchanges and scientific cooperations. All the fighting between both areas is slowly coming to an end.

    2000-ongoing. Upset from the lack of progress from the first Intifada. Many people complained about the lack of progress and that General Ariel Sharons visit was provacotive and begun the riot. The anger then caused fighting and bloodshed and suffering on both sides. Israelis were attacked by alot of suicide bombers. Israels military carried out opperations in return with prolonged misery that never stopped.

    It was a final status agreement between Israel and the Palestines carried out in secret. President Clinton and the US and middle East say that it was Dennis Ross who was their reason for failure. Barak withdrew from the vast majority to create an independent Palestine state capital. Arfat refused this idea. Two states lived side by side in peace, not only achieved more conflict.

    Prince Abdullah of Saudia Arabia proposed a peace initiative in return Israel withdrew from all territories that they captured in 1967. Israel didnt like all the demands. The Arab leauge edorsed the proposal again. It was seen as a break through event because most areas ruled out peace treaties. Israel ended up rejecting all of the ideas for this plan to go through.

    2002-ongoing. They built a security barrier to protect their people from terrorist. Similar from the Gaza, Israel barrier. Complained about dividing some Palestines from their land. They had to pass through security checkpoint. Fence is temporary.

    There was a plan for peace that was proposed by the quartet. It took recipricol steps for an ultimate goal of independent palestine and secure Israel. Divided in phases. The progress of roadmap was haulted. Hamas tried to destroy Israel. After control was taken from Hamas the construction could begin again. There is no set outcome for how things are going to end up like.

    Physical seperation of Israel from Palestine territories. Israel would withdrawl from Gaza strip. Israel decided to remove itself from this territory so that Palestines could govern themselves. The number of rockets fired by terrorist had increased after this happened with Israel.

    Palestines elected a lot of Hamas members to the Palestine. People say that the Hamas won the election due to the formally corrupt government. The Hamas were responsible for hundreds of terrorist attacks. After the election many western nations imposed sanctions and suspended aid to the palestinians. The Hamas said that sanctions would be lifted after the election.

    Hezballah is an Islams radical organization. That radical organization tried to destroy Israel. Syria and Iran both support the radicalist. They attacked an Israel army and Israel launched air attacks back in return. Their fighting resulted in the loss of civilian lives and property damadge. Israel damadged Lebanons transportation. This fight ended with ceased fire.

    There was tension between Hamas and PLO, after Hamas won the election. Hamas militants attacked Fatan members. Today thier are two Palestine governements. Hamas control Gaza and the Palestine authority controls the West Banks. Western sanctions were lifted after Hama government dissolved.

    Israel and Eygpt began a blockade of Gaza. They required all goods to be inspected to prevent smuggled weapons. The UN makrjed this as legal. Israel fought and gained control of UN ships. Turkey demanded an apology from Israel. This led to several disputes between the two that had been allies.

    Begining in Tussania citizens in Arab states began to protest against democratic governments. Protest spread from Tussania across the Arab world. Tussania president left, and protest no longer continue. Although there are no protest, where the peace is, is not very clear yet.
