    Nat Turner leads a slave revolt in Virginia
    Rebel slaves killed 55 to 65 people in this rebellion, which was the most deaths in a slave uprising. Nat Turner survived and was in hiding for two months. This rebellion cause fear to spread across America.

    This was an abolistionist society that was started by William Garrison and Arthur Tappen. They viewed owning slaves as a sin and called themselves pacifists. They did many acts to pass around the anti=slavery message.
