    Treaty of Paris (1763)
The Treaty of Paris (1763), not to be confused with the Treaty of Paris (1783), was an agreement signed between representatives of France and Great Britain formally ending the Seven Years' War. In the treaty, France was forced to cede all its territories in mainland North America. A large debt was incurred by Great Britain over the course of the war, who turned to the American colonies to raise funds to pay this debt.
