Apple released their first mp3 player at a whopping $400 dollars. Many criticized Apple for the device’s lack of Windows compatibility. The First iPhone
First iphone was released on June 29, 2007. First iPhone sold for $499. 6.1 million Units were sold. Jobs wanted to create a phone without physical keyboard and mouse. A phone with muilt-touch touchscreen to interact with a computer in a way in which we could be directly onto the display. The first iPhone was marketed as running “OS X”. iPod Touch (4th Generation iPod)
Apple unveiled a new lineup of iPod products, including the 4th generation iPod, also known as the iPod Touch. With similar looks and features to the iPhone, the iPod touch ran OS X, and became available with either 8 GB or 16 GB of flash memory. Today, the iPod Touch can be purchased with up to 32 GB. Originally the price of the iPod Touch was set at $299 for 8 GB of memory and $399 for 16 GB. Currently, a 16 GB iPod touch goes for $199, and a 32 GB for $249. -
The Apple Ipad 2010
Announced in January 2010, Apple announced the iPad as the first device in an entirely new market, making the claim that it would be better at many tasks than either smartphones or traditional laptops. The iPad was based around an Apple-designed system-on-a-chip, called the A4. The A4 was based on an ARM Cortex-9 CPU, included an integrated GPU, and was extremely energy-efficient.
