The apple 3 came out in 1980, Its codename was Sara. The original apple 3 had many problems. It was replaced later in 1981 with updated system software and a lower price. The apple 3 was replaced by the apple 3 plus. -
John Sculley
John Sculley became CEO and president of Apple. Jobs and Sculley would help Apple 'grow up'. -
Sculley VS. Gates
Sculley was locked in a battle with Microsoft Bill Gates over the interduction of Windows 1.0. Gates beleived that Sculley stole ideas from him to complete Windows 1.0. -
Then Powerbook
The Powerbook was realesed and was a great succes and more work was being done with this Powerbook. The Powerbook was an instant succes. -
Spindler
Spindler was promoted to CEO because Sculley was relieved of his duty. Sculley was asked to step down because he was not the right man to bring the company forward. -
Newton
The personal Digital Assistant (PDA), or Newton Apple called it, came out. The first generation of Newton had poor handwriting recognition and did not sell very well. -
Gil Amelio
Spindler was the wrong man for the job also so he was also asked to step down and replaced by Gil Amelio, former president of National Semiconductor.
