October 11-13 soviets launched 3 Soyuz missions at this time. Their goals were unclear. -
Apollo 12
Apollo 12 launches for a second moon landing. Astronauts visited surveyor 3 and discovered bacteria on the moon; the first discovery of life outside of earth. -
Apollo-Soyuz
It was the first joint U.S.–Soviet space flight, and the last flight of an Apollo spacecraft.
