When they arrived to the new world they found new crops and material, and animals they have never seen before. This was a trade between, the America's, Europe and Africa. They exchanged people, plants,animals and diseases and this effected all the continents. -

The first African slaves were being brought to the new world to start being forced to work in plantations to crop. They first got to Hispaniola in Dominican republic. -

This was a system where spanish were forcing the indians to convert to a catholic. The spanish were supposed to protect the Indians for there grants but instead they tricked them and made the Indians slaves plus took their lands. -

James town discovered
Sebastian Brant and 1200 immigrants came to the new world to find gold a silver. They were unsuccessful. Instead they found diseases and wiped almost all of them out. They sent a letter back to England for supplies because they were unable to do it by themselves to survive. -

4000 British Soldiers were in Boston. There were protesters throwing rocks and snow balls. The soldiers then fired their guns at them and killed 5 colonist but many wounded. -
The battle of Lexington and Concord
This gave the U.S the victory against the British and was the bloodiest battle in the American Revolution. Many more soldiers of the British were killed then the patriots. -

This gave the Colonist Independence from Great Britain. King George signed it and gave them their country. -

The french were bankrupt and needed to sell that land right away. The U.S got the land for a really cheap price 10,000,000. This gave more land to the U.S to farm. -

This Act was to remove Indians from their lands to give them to the whites. Compensation was promised for those who agreed to move west of the mississippi river. -
Nat Turners Relebelion
Nat Turner and his people held a slave rebellion in Southampton virginia. This was the first call for anti-slavery. -

South Carolina was in protest of federal tariffs. Jackson sent federal troops there but was resolved with henry clay's compromise tariff bill. -

This election divided the country. South Carolina succeeds from the US. This is the start of the civil war -

This was the first major defeat for the Union army. It showed the union that this was going to be a long war to be won. -

He is the president of the U.S. He supports the idea that slavery should be banned. Because of this south carolina secedes, following with them, mississippi, florida, alabama, georgia and lastly louisiana. These states to not support that idea. -

Fort Sumter was attacked by the confederate forces. Union forces at fort sumter surrendered to the confederate troops. This was the first defeat for the Union forces. -

African Americans began leaving the south because of economic abuses and lots of racism.They were leaving in large numbers to the urban North. It was from 1905-1930. -

Muckraking fiction exposed the terrible conditions of meat packing plants. A new law was made which was the food and drug act and meat inspection act to inspect all meat packaging. -
