    In the 14th-15th cenutrys in Europe, the Drak ages engulfed the continent because of the cultural and economic deterioration that supposedly occurred in Europe following the decline of the Roman Empire. In these times the Kings hada great control over their poeple and could force them to do what was wanted by the king.

After the Civil War and during soutthern reconstruction the south enacted Jim Crow Laws which limited rights to porperty and voting and also segregated public place such as resturants and schools. In July of 1964 the Civil Rights Act was enacted not only for race, but for sex and ethnicty as well, bu the black America benefited the most
