In the 14th-15th cenutrys in Europe, the Drak ages engulfed the continent because of the cultural and economic deterioration that supposedly occurred in Europe following the decline of the Roman Empire. In these times the Kings hada great control over their poeple and could force them to do what was wanted by the king. -
Enslavment by Birth
caste is fixed by birth, and each caste is associated with a traditional occupation, such as weaving or barbering. Hindu religious principles underlay the caste hierarchy and limit the ways that castes can interact. -

Arranged marriages were commonly accetable in the 17th and 18th centuries. the couple were usually married by their parents in an arrangment that benefited the parents and not neccesarily the couple. These marriages tended to be arranged in a certain social class to produce a desirable outcome. -

In America the African american people were enslaved up unitl 1863 when the Emancipation Proclamtion was enacted and defintly in 1865 wiht the 13th amendment. After the Civil War and during soutthern reconstruction the south enacted Jim Crow Laws which limited rights to porperty and voting and also segregated public place such as resturants and schools.
