Purpose of Act:
To direct the trade between England and the Colonies
Outcome of Act:
Made the Colonies really mad because they couldn't trade with any other countries and coundt say anything with the new law -
The Proclamation Acts
The reason:
Set the appalachian Mountians as the temparary western boundery for the colonies
Outcome:
made them mad because they wanted to go out to the new land so that they could expand -
The Sugar Act
The Reason:
an act that lowers the tax for the colonies
Outcome:
the colonies didnt have to smuggle that much because they were able to pay for the tax plus family or home needs -
The Stamp Act
The Reason:
placed a tax on almost all printed material, including newspaper, wills, and playing cards
The Outcome:
Made the colonist relly mad because they had to pay more because of the stamp and they have to make sure that there was a stamp before they bought it -
The Decloration Act
The Reason:
Had the right to tax and make desisions for the british colonies "in all cases"
The Outcome:
Made the colonies mad because they had to pay more which made the colonist want to smuggle more because of this Act -
The Townshead Act
The Reason:
only to imported goods such as glass, tea, and paper, with the tax being paid at the port
The Outsome:
Made the colonist mad becuase they could only ship this certain stuff to make money but they had more stuff to do -
The Tea Act
The Reason:
allowed the company a virtual monopoly, or sole control, of the trade for the tea in America
Outcome:
Was mad becuase they LOVED their tea and they always wanted more and more and more -
The Ceorcive Act
The reason:
were inteded to punish people of massachusetts for their resistance to british laws
Outcome:
They thought liked it but they didnt because they like it becuase they are getting back at people who did something wrong and they dont like when its their family or themself
