Intimacy and self-expression are examined in Annie Baker's Body Awareness in the setting of a modern family in Shirley, Vermont. It features a struggling lesbian couple, a kid with Asperger syndrome, and a male nudist photographer who stays with them as a house guest. In short, the play does not have anything to do with having a positive self image and more to do with having a more loving awareness of the bodies and souls around us. -

In 2012 she produced a highly praised adaptation of Anton Chekhov’s Uncle Vanya. The play is about examining the hopelessness of country life in Russia during the late 19th century. (Love and rejection) A lot of family issues. The ending of the play: Family tensions spill over, and Vanya attempts to kill Serebryakov. By the end of the play, Serebryakov and his wife have agreed to allow the estate to keep running and life seems to have returned to normal. -

Her doll obsession is so strong that Elias thinks she has OCD. Jenny believes that the dolls an get angry.

“As a kid, my fantasy profession was to be a novelist.” I was always like, “I have to choose the perfect word.” I ended up becoming a playwright because you can be grammatically incorrect: people speaking in bad poetry or people attempting to speak well and sometimes succeeding and sometimes failing.
