Sevastopol
The Germans took Sevastopol. In Norway,the German battleship, Lutzow and cruiser Admiral Sheer leave Narvik. On the way, Lutzow and three destroyers run aground.

convoy PQ-17
In the Arctic, the British convoy PQ-17 goes to Murmansk and the German forces attacked. The Germans took 90 000 prisonners from Sevastopol.They had then 24 000 casualties.

Secret Annexe
The first Eastern Front Panzer Army crosses the Donets River. The Soviet defenders have mostly avoided capture and conduct an orderly retreat.

Army Group B
The German Army began its move towards Rostov. The German Army Group South was renamed Army Group B and they are placed under the control of Field Marshal von Bock.
