On August 9, 1985, Anna Kendrick was born in Portland, Maine, to her parents Janice Kendrick and William Kendrick. Anna Kendrick also had an older brother, Michael Cooke Kendrick. Michael who was also an actor who appeared in the drama film "Looking for an Echo" in 2000 -

Both Anna and her brother went to attend Longfellow Elementary School, Lincoln Middle School, and Deering High School in Portland. -
Beginning of Anna Kendrick's career
Anna Kendrick had her first play role at the age of 12 when she was preforming as "Dinah" in the Broadway musical "High Society," Anna's hard work and dedication allowed her to get some recognition and earned her a Theatre World Award and a Drama Desk Award. Anna was then also nominated for a Fany Award, then was later nominated for “Best Actress in a Musical” Tony Award; which Anna was the second youngest person to be nominated for this award. -

Another one of Anna's Most successful film in 2012 was her role in the musical comedy "pitch perfect." Anna played as Beca Mitchell, a rebellious college freshman who joins an a cappella group called the Barden Bellas. This film became a major commercial success and later lead to two other sequels. -

Anna related heavily to the Character she was playing "Alice" since she was in a controlling/abusive relationship. -
