Hanna-Barbera was founded by George Barbera, George Sidney, and William Hanna. Throughout the age of television, this would be the true animated TV guru. The Flintstones
The Flintstones are aired onto Television. This is the first cartoon TV series that would make Hanna-Barbera a sensation. It led the way for other HB productions including Yogi Bear in 1961 and The Jetsons in 1962. -
Computer Animations
The first computer animations were made in the movie west world by Edwin Catmull and the first full short made completely from CGI was Adventures of Andre and Wally B. This would change everything for not just for animation, but for all of film, as it can allow anyone to make anything in their movies. CGI is still heavily utilized today. -
Live Action CGI
WestWorld releases, the first live action movie to use 2D CGI in its movie. It's sequel, FutureWorld was the first live action movie to use 3D CGI in 1976. Both of these movies showed that animation could help make anything possible in your movies, leading to them becoming an efficient alternative to practical effects. -

Toy Story
The debut of Pixar and the first full length movie made completely out of Computerized Generated Imagery (CGI). Pixar would later be one of the biggest companies in animation. They later made other important movies in animation like Monster Inc., Finding Nemo, and The Incredibles.
