Animal Farm major events
This time line is about the major events in the book Animal farm. -
old major gave a speech in the barn
At the Manor Farm all the animal were called to a meeting by Old major the pig. Old magor had a dream about a rebelion with animal all being free. "And now comrads, i wil tell you about my dream of last night. I cannot describe that dream yo you. It was a dream of the earth as it will be when Man has vanished" pg.32 The speech made the other animals on the farm agree and get excited. -
old major dies
when old major died it made all the animals sad. The rebellion would now be left to the rest of the pigs including nepoleon and snowball.
''three nights later old major died peacefully in his sleep. His body was buried at the foot of the orchard" pg.35 -
rebelion
when jones and his crew went to the bar they forgot to feed the animals.The animals got so hungry they decided to charge into the part where all the food was and get it them selves. Then the animals started the rebelion. " on of the cows broke in the door of the store-shed with her horrn and all the animals began to help theemselve from the bins" pg.38
this ment the animals were now on their own -
learning
the pigs have learned to read and write and want the other animals to learn too. But since tey lerned first the other animals listen to them cause they think the pigs are always right sinc ethey are so smart.
"The pigs now revealed that during the past three moths they hd taught themselves to read and write" pg. 42 -
seven commandmets
the pigs made 7 commandments (rules) for everyone to follow which kept everyone together.
"1. whatever goes upon two legs is an enemy.
2.whatever goes upon four legs, or has wings, is a friend.
3.no animal shall wear chlothes.
4.No animal shall sleep in a bed.
5.no animsl shall drink alcahol.
6. No animal shall kill any other animal.
7.All animals are equal. -
windmill
the animals were decideding to make a wind mill which would make work easier. But snowball and nepoleon were not agreeing, which made the animal confused.
"as, usual, snowball and nepoleon were in a disagreement." pg.66 -
no more snowball
snowball was chased off the farm by dogs that nepoleon trained which left nepoleon the dictator of animal farm mostly because of the big dogs that chased snowball.
"They dashed straight for snowball, who only sprange from his place just in time to escape there snaping jaws." -
windmill again
Nepoleon decided to get evryone to make the windmill and claimed it was his idea. But when the windmill broke fromsomeone,nepolen ammediently told the animlas it wass snowball. This made the other animals turn against snowball
''comrads".he said quietly,"do you know who is responsible for this? D you know the enemy who has come in the night and overthrown our windmill? SNOWBALL!"' pg. 82 -
Napoleon deals with humans
Napoleon decided to trade with humans through one trusted human whymper, Which is braking one of the rules and led him to braking more.
"Napoleo had accepted, through whymper, a contract for four hundred eggs a week"
