Birth
Angus McKinnon Young was born in Glasgow, Scotland, on March 31, 1955, where he lived with his older brothers Malcolm and George. In 1963 the Young family emigrated to Australia, settling in Sydney. -
First Years
Angus and Malcolm received guitar lessons from their brother George, a member of the group The Easybeats. -
The creation of AC/DC
Angus, 18 years old, together with his brother Malcolm created the group AC / DC in 1973. The band's first line-up featured Malcolm Young on rhythm guitar, Phil Rudd on drums, Mark Evans on bass later to be replaced by Cliff Williams, and Dave Evans the singer who was replaced in 1974 by Bon Scott. -
International success
In 1975, they signed an international contract with "Atlantic Records" and began a European tour. l grupo realizó otros dos discos en Australia: High Voltage (1975) y Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap (1976). In 1980 Bon Scott died of alcohol poisoning, later replaced by Brian Johnson. -
AC / DC and the new millennium
In April 2016, vocalist Brian Johnson stops performing live with AC / DC due to the risk of losing his sense of hearing. His temporary replacement was Guns N 'Roses vocalist Axl Rose, with whom they are starting their European tour.
On November 18, 2017, former AC / DC member and founder Malcolm Young passed away at the age of 64. -
Present / Power Up
