Jackson's Birth
Andrew Jackson was born in r South Carolina on March 15, 1767, the son of iPresbyterian Scotch-Irish immigrants. He didnt exactly go to school but later studied law and became a public prosecutor in present-day Tennessee.Jackson became a land speculator and slave owner, who also developed a reputation for fighting anyone who questioned his athority or messed with his pride. -
Jackson Enlist in Revolutionary Army
Jackson fought in the Battle of Hanging Rock when he was just 13.His brother Hugh died in the Battle of Stono Ferry in 1779, and Andrew and his brother Robert were captured by the British.After many deaths, he was orphaned and alone. -

British soldiers attempted to capture new orleasn and wanted to sail up the mississippi. U.S. troops led by Andrew Jackson defeated the british in less then 30 minutes and is known as one of americans greatest victories. -
