Indian Removal Act

Georgia passed a law saying no one can live in Indian territory, unless they have a warrant. A missionary, Samuel Worcester was sent to jail for living in their land. Worcester won the case. -

Because of the high Tariff of 1828, South Carolina threatened to secede from the union. Henry Clay came up with a compromise, so the tariff lowers over ten years. -
