During the Election of 1824, Andrew Jackson, John Quincy Adams, William Crawford, and Henry Clay were running for president.For the popular vote, it was an almost tie between Jackson, Adams, and Clay. For the electoral vote, Clay convinced the Electoral College to vote for Adams. This was called the "Corrupt Bargain". -

The election of 1828 was the election when Andrew Jackson became the seventh president of the United States. He won with 178 votes from the Electoral College and 647,286 popular votes. -
Indian Removal Act
This law was passed by Andrew Jackson to negotiate with southern Native American tribes for their removal to land in the west. It caused the Trail of Tears afterwards. -

The Bank War
The Bank War was the name given when President Andrew Jackson vetoed the Second National Bank. During this "war" he stated that he "would kill (the bank)". He eventually did by the end of 1833.
