    Andrew Jackson was born on March 15, 1787, in Waxhaws.
  • The Battle Of Horseshoe Bend.

    The Battle Of Horseshoe Bend.
    Andrew Jackson and his army of 2600 American soldiers, 500 Cherokee, and 100 Lower Creek, attacked the Red Stick army of 1000 men. The battled lasted until the next day and that was when the slaughter happened. The army killed as many Red Sticks as they can. A death toll of 557 soldiers died in combat and 250-300 drowned or got shot trying to swim across the river. Only 49 Tennessee Militia died and 154 were wounded. Jackson's army had won a big victory.

    (DATE ADAMS BECAME PRESIDENT IN 1825, NOT ELECTION) A election was held in 1824 between candidates between Andrew Jackson, John Quincy Adams, William H. Crawford, and Henry Clay. Jackson has the most popular votes but didn't have the required amount of electoral votes. So the congress decided who to be president. But as the voting went on, Adams and Clay both teamed up and with Clay's persuading, Adams won the election. Jackson was furious about this, and called the election a "Corrupt Bargain".

    (DATE UNKNOWN) After 4 years Jackson and Adams come face to face at The Election Of 1828. This time no other candidate showed up so Andrew had the advantage. Jackson won a major victory, almost all of the states had voted for Jackson and he won the most of both electoral votes and popular votes. After this he created the Spoils System.

    In 1830, May 28, Congress passed the Indian Removal Act. This act was used to remove Indians from their land so the settlers can take it. But some of the Indians didn't want to move. But with the act, the government can use force to move them, and the journey, which has been called by the Indians, "The Trail Of Tears". Mainly because many Indians died either by waiting or traveling, a total of 4000 Indians died, half by waiting, half by traveling to Oklahoma.

    (DAY OF DATE UNKNOWN) In 1832, Jackson had a hate towards the Second Bank Of The United States. For in Jackson's election, the bank wanted to make Jackson lose. But in 1832, Jackson said the famous quote to his vice-president Martin Van Buren, "The bank is trying to kill me, sir, but I will kill it!" Jackson did everything to make the bank close, and he vetoed the bank's recharter bill, and in 1836 the banks charter had expired and the bank closed
