    In 1815, Andrew Jackson and his army fought the British in New Orleans and destroyed them it a massive victory.

    In 1824, Andrew Jackson won the popular vote and electoral vote, but he did not have a majority so the vote went to Congress where John Quincy Adams made the Corrupt Bargain and became president.

    Beginning in 1824, whn Jackson lost the election, Jacksonian Democracy was created and was where ordinary prople became interested in politics and gave all white males suffurage.

    In 1828, Andrew Jackson beat John Quncy Adams and became the 7th President of the US largely because of Adams' unpopularity.

    During Jackson's presidency, he believed the president should be the voice of the common people and that he had the right to remove all who oppose him because he won the election.

    In 1830, the Indian Removal Act was passed and it moved indians west of the Mississippi and into the Indian Territory (Olkahoma).

    In 1830, Samuel Worcester, a missionary, was arrested for living among Native Americans. He sued and came infront of the Supreme Court in 1832, where he was freed.

    In 1832, Jackson ordered the removal of NAtive Americans to Olkahoma. The trail became know as the Trail of Tears because so many died.

    In 1832, Jackson vetoed the national bank's charter and ordered money from the national bank, into the state banks because he thought the national bank had too much power.

    In 1832, South Carolina passed an act to nullify the Federal Tariff which led to a debate on states' rights. Jackson said South Carolina could not do this and threatened to send troops.
