Battle of New Orleans
7,500 British soldiers marched against 4,500 U.S. Troops led by General Andrew Jackson. Jackson defeated the British in just 30 minutes, halting their plans. The battle was fought after the treaty to end the war was signed. -
Election of 1824
The 1824 election marked the final collapse of the Republican-Federalist political framework. Also, it was known as a corrupt bargain due to Henry Clay's actions. He was able to persuade the House votes to Adams even though Jackson won the votes of the people. -

In 1832, Henry Clay pushed through congress a new tarrif bill, with lower rates than the Tarrif of Abominations(the act that caused the South to want to succeed), but still too high for the southerners. He did this to solve the crisis. -

This court case deals with Georgia's state laws that were passed in the mid-1800's. Sam Worcester's family refused to move from "Indian Territory" that these laws protected. The Worcester family won the court case. -
Bank War
This was a campaign by Andrew Jackson to destroy the Second Bank of the U.S. To prevent the renewal of their charter, he set out to reduce the Bank's economical foundation. Even though Nicholas Biddle fought back, Jackson won the Bank War. -

U.S. troops, prompted by the state of Georgia, expelled the Cherokee Indians from their territory into what is now Oklahoma.
