The battle continued through the night, but when the sun rose the next morning, The American Flag was still Standing. -

The Indian Removal Act was a Law passed in 1830 that forced Many indians to move west of the Mississippi River. The United States Army forced over 15,000 Cherokee Indians to move West of the Appalachian Mountains. -
Nullification Crisis
The Tariff of 1828 was a “Protective Tariff meaning that it added Tax on only Imported Goods. Not Exported goods. The Tariffs hurt the Southern Planters because now they could not receive any goods for their crops. South Carolina threatened to Secede from the Union if the Act was not removed. Andrew Jackson did not want a Civil War, so he decided to Remove the Taxes on Imported Goods.
