Andrew Jackson was born March 15th, 1767, in Waxhaw. He has Scott-Irish decent and his parents moved from Ireland the year he was born. -
Jackson enlists in revolutionary army
Andrew Jackson and his two brothers were all enlisted in the war. His oldest brother died and Jackson and his other brother were taken prisoner where they were treated badly. -
Battle of Horseshoe Bend
A group of Natives over ran a settler out post killing 300. After this the Natives tried to go to present day central Alabama where Jackson's forces killed 550 and he only lost 49. -
Battle of New Orleans
On December 24th, 1814 America and Britain signed a treaty to end the war, but the news was slow so because of that it led to one of the most violet battles of the war. -
Election of 1824
The election of 1824 was held from October to December 1824, but it was't until February 9th, 1825 that John Quincy Adams was elected president. This was the first time no canadite recieved a majority of the electoral vote. -
Election of 1828
The 1828 election had a rematch between John Quincy Adams and Andrew Jackson. No other canadites ran in the race so this gave Jackson the easy elatoral win. -

The act was passed which required the president to negotiate the removal of southern Indian tribes West of the Mississippi. -
Worcester vs. Georgia
A man was forced to leave his home and feels it violates his constitutional rights. In the end he won the case and all Native Americans had to be treated respectfully. -
Nullification Crisis
There was a tarrif placed on all European goods and this was bad for farmers in the south. Because of this tarrif placed South Carolina either wanted the tarrif to be illegal or to secede from the United States. -
Bank War
The Bank War is the name of the campaign that was started by Andrew Jackson. His goal was to destroy the second bank of the United States.
