Andrew Jackson was enlisted into the Revolutionary Army at the age of 13. He then later on fought many wars in his career, such as the War of 1812 and Battle of New Orleans. And soon, took up to be the 7th president of the United States. -

This battle was fought in the War of 1812, and critical to Jackson's career, and the solution to the Indian problem. The US won, and in a result the Creek Indians gave most of their land up. -

Indian Removal Act
Andrew Jackson signed the law giving the president the power to grant unsettled lands west of Mississippi in exchange for Indian lands. A few tribes went peacefully, but the rest of them did not. So the government forced them to, and 4,000 died while moving, This was known as "The Trail of Tears." -
Worcester vs. Georgia
Georgia had abolished Cherokee government and annexed Cherokee land. So the US Supreme Court took this case, and ruled Georgia's law unconstitutional and Cherokee's a seperate, sovereign nation. Which made Andrew Jackson furious. -
Bank War
Andrew Jackson disliked the Bank of the US, and thought it had too much power and the owners were corrupt. So when the Bank's charted expired, Jackson never renewed it. And so that was when the Bank was shut.
